After a lifetime of 'buying junk and selling antiques', I have become recently passionate about the art of RePurposing. We live in a throw-away world. Throw away dreams - throw away lives - throw away marriages - throw away children - throw away clothing and throw away anything-that-the-garbage-man-will-haul-from-the-end-of-my-driveway.
Not only are we wasting huge amounts of money on items that just don't matter, we are wasting our talents and creativity by not pushing ourselves into new ideas of RePurposing the things we already have.
I am only just beginning my journey into the world of sharing my creations with others.

REPURPOSED Vintage Plaid Skirt Penance for our use of Polyester WEARABLE ART - $25.00
This vintage plaid skirt is I believe lightweight wool. The waist size is 34" and it is one of a kind.
The pleats are stitched down to the hip area and then they flare out from there.
I found this polyester vintage clip on tie that quite honestly is a study of contrasts in itself.
a) it has a beautiful scene of nature on it - how much farther from nature can you get than polyster?
b) it is a clip-on tie, yet masquerades as a full tie with both the front and back 'flaps' in place..the back is kept neatly in place by tucking it under the label.
Since this tie so badly wanted to be something that it is not, I found it only fitting to REPURPOSE it from a life of a tie, to an embellishment on a women's garment.
In order to pay penance for the use of polyester, I included a wooden button, a leather button, and a great vintage prayer piece from the 30's.
The skirt has a length of 23.5"
