Lindsy Carranza

Bio:

Hello Everyone! My name is Lindsy Carranza. I am 24 years old and from Omaha, Nebraska. Art and crafts have been apart of my life since I can remember. It all started with my mother, who used to crochet and make pillow dolls. When I was younger she made a lot of my Barbie's clothes, which were way better than the store bought ones! Then it developed once I got into school. Mom said when the other kids were drawing stick figures I was creating art with families around the dinner table completely in perspective. In high school I really started messing around with reconstructing clothing. One of the first recycled clothing projects I ever did was a floor length skirt completely make out of the back pockets from jeans.
That project took quite awhile and was all hand sewn. As I got into college I started finding creative ways to decorate my apartment. Things like revamping old bookshelves, picture frames, and making my own pillows. My creativeness has only broadened as I've gotten older and there are still so many things I want to learn how to do. Creating new and wonderful pieces out of found items is my passion. My crafts range from necklace pendants to organizers for your office. Constantly I am finding things that would be considered trash or would be used for something else and think to myself, "Wow that would make a cute.... or what could I do with that?"

Pendants

These are necklace pendants made out of Scrabble tiles. A few are reversible (both front and back are decorated).

Some I paint and some are decorated with scrapbook papers.

I hang them different ways depending on what I think looks best and

you can hang them from just about any necklace chain. A few of the pendants are made from scrap wood, or small wooden pieces.
