Harry A. Marsh
I'm a 38yr old ex-model maker, I have worked on projects as varied as Sony stereos to aero space. My favorite was the toy industry. I have worked on sculptures for over 15 years most of which had to be improvisational work where materials had to come from unlikely sources. Lately, I have rediscovered the wonderful material of papier-mâché and the many possibilities of this versatile and cheap sculpting media.
I currently reside in Florida and hope to stay for a little while, and I hope to do some great work in the future. I plan to do 6 more dragons of similar size using every color of the rainbow. Not to mention some new garden sculptures.

SMAGE - 3' original recycled paper sculpture $680.00
To make smauge I started with a rough idea to make a bust of a dragon after a couple of rough sketches I began by collecting raw materials mostly card board boxes your local liquor store is very useful for this , they throw out copious amounts of card board daily. Next a hot glue gun and glue sticks to build the under lying skeleton kind of like the wood models they used to sell of dinosaur skeletons. At this point I make it appoint to attach the eyes which are ping pong balls for larger progects I like to use leggs plastic eggs. Also as a note things like the horns are made of Styrofoam also a dumpster item. Once the under structure is completed the messy part begins you will need to put the paper skin on I like to use several types standard newspaper, brown paper bags, the red roofing paper left over from construction sites al are good and when you are layering it is good to be able to see which part you have already covered. As an adhesive I like to use standard white glue
